Here is how this
all came into being.
I am an avid collector of blues music. Years ago when listening
to "Early in the mornin",
I decided that one day I would use the voices of these prisoners
as background vocals to a song that I would write.
So I put the idea in the back of my mind.
Years later (2007) I was thinking of a video to make that
would bring home the point of what a liar George Bush and
his whole administration is. I remembered the song and the
line "He told a dirty lie now wella." I thought,
"Yes, now is the time to use that song and the idea to
use it as background vocals.
The idea proved to be a little harder than anticipated. After
several attempts, I just couldn't get it right. Finally I
decided to run an excerpt from the song at the beginning of
the video and just pepper "he told a dirty lie"
throughout the vid.
I started writing the song but finally got to a place where
I couldn't go any further on my own. So I called my Brother
and asked him if he wanted to collaborate. We had never brainstormed
on anything like this before and I wondered how it would go.
It was great. We worked well together and played well of of
each other's ideas.
Soon the song came together. After a wh

Bush and his cronies lying were collected from a variety of
sources. Some from the Internet, some from
The video shots
of Kimmy singing were shot in the cemetery on the Presidio
in SF.
It seemed appropriate to making the point about our Soldiers
needlessly dying, that it be shot where there are dead Soldiers.
You can see in the video that we took great care to make sure
that there was nothing remotely disrespectful about our Soldiers.
We LOVE our Soldiers and want them home.
